What will be good on your day.

Tell us when you’re gathering and we’ll show you what’s at its best that week, and roughly how a menu for it might read.

Nothing is sent until you choose to send it.

Long tables, good light, no fuss.

The kind of day we cook for: a table that runs the length of the room, food passed down it, and nobody watching the clock.

The people who cook it.

There are five of us, with decades of experience between us, from Michelin starred kitchens to the forces, film sets and Sydney.

Kind words.

  • “Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Lotus Catering made our wedding day perfect. Every single guest commented on how incredible the food was; locally sourced, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The team were professional, warm, and completely understood exactly what we wanted. I cannot recommend them highly enough!”

    Sarah & James H.Wedding, Wentworth

  • “We’ve used Lotus Event Catering for our corporate quarterly events all year round, and the standard never drops. It just gets better. The attention to detail, the creativity of the seasonal menus, and the care they take with every plate is genuinely next-level. Our guests are always asking who our caterer is. Simply the best in the North.”

Mark T.Operations Director, Sheffield Business Park

  • “From the first tasting to the final course, Lotus was an absolute delight. We hosted a private celebration for 40 people, and every dish felt like a fine-dining experience: vibrant, fresh, and clearly made with so much passion and care. It’s rare to find a caterer that balances incredible food with such lovely, personal service. We’ll be booking again without hesitation.”

Food that gives something back.

We work closely with local charities and support organisations to offer training, work experience and real opportunities to people who have experienced homelessness, helping them rebuild confidence, skills and a future in the catering industry.

It’s part of how our kitchen runs, not something bolted on. Every event you book with us helps someone take a step forward.

From first call to last plate.

  1. One

    Tell us about your day

Your date, venue, rough numbers and the kind of food you have in mind. A quick call is usually all it takes.

  2. Two

    We write your menu

We’ll build it around what’s in season for your date, with a clear price per head.

  3. Three

    Taste it first

Try the menu before you commit, at your venue if you like. There’s a charge for tastings, but it comes straight off your final invoice when you book.

  4. Four

    We look after the day

Our team arrives, sets up, serves and clears away, so you can be a guest at your own event.

The things everyone asks.

If yours isn’t here, give us a ring. It’s usually a two minute answer.

How far will you travel?

Wherever your event is, just ask. It depends on the size of the event, and we’re always happy to talk it through. Very little is out of reach.

What does it cost per head?

It depends on the menu, the number of guests and the style of service. Whatever you’re planning, we’ll give you a clear price per head before you commit to anything.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

Every event is different, so just let us know roughly how many you’re expecting and we’ll talk it through.

Do you bring staff, crockery and glassware?

Yes, our own team cooks and serves on the day. We’ll also arrange the crockery, glassware and any equipment you need, with the hire included in your quote.

Can you work at a venue with no kitchen?

Yes. Much of what we do is at dry hire venues, marquees and private houses, where we bring everything we need and set up a field kitchen. Tell us about the site and we’ll let you know what it needs.

How do you handle allergies and dietary requirements?

We build them into the menu from the start, rather than working around them on the day. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and specific allergies are all straightforward; we just need to know in good time.

Do we get a tasting before we book?

Yes, and we’d love you to. We can arrange a tasting, at your venue if that’s easier. There’s a charge, which comes straight off your final invoice when you book your event with us.
